Nicaragua. The land in between. So sweet despite herself, and despite a history rife with all possible clashes between wealth and poverty, dictatorship and democracy, inhuman predicaments and collectivist thrusts. A land mirrored in its ability to be reborn in the same way as she is reflected in the great lake that nature has placed at her centre, and able to synthesise her first fruits such as hope and joie-de-vivre. In its harsh, calm and disciplined character of a second-born, this younger brother reveals himself - at first instance and with great surprise on our part - as a cartwheel of exotic and Middle Eastern scents as well as balsamics, and not fully evolved fruits. These too have been slumbering, as if to imitate the older sibling. In the mouth a babel of notes and tones with a closed and austere alcohol tempo. Balsamic flashes and strong chlorophyll, alongside white chocolate, lacquer and ground coffee. Eighteen. Truly, a complex age…
