"We must take the lessons of our legacy, and use this knowledge to further our future. While the world has changed and expanded, so too must we at Samaroli continue to change with the world, but also change the world itself."
The 1960's was when our forefather Mr. Samaroli began his real love affair with whisky and brown spirits. He chose to take this passion full time in 1968 and founded Samaroli Srl Wine and Spirits Merchants in Rome, Italy.

Thus begins the Samaroli legacy and what would go on to become the FIRST non-Scottish and non-English independent Scotch whisky bottler the world has ever seen. In the first decade of its establishment, even though Samaroli was primarily a wine and spirits importer; it was also during this time where our forefather began to experiment and birthed a new dimension to spirits appreciation -- especially with whisky.

Where many called him a heretic then; most unanimously consider him a legend today. Alas in the late 1970's, the first Samaroli whisky series was born – our collection of dumpy Cadenhead bottlings. It was during the 1980s that Samaroli began bottling cask strength whiskies – a rarity at the time. Pioneering this trend to actively promote high-proof whiskies and un-chill-filtered styles, most of our releases during this decade were cask strength editions that are revered by many connoisseurs today.

This decade we'd like to call it: the 'Samaroli Rennaisance'. For it witnessed our release of dozens of bottlings which are now considered 'legends’ and are fought over tooth and nail whenever they appear at auction. The artistry of the labels has also proved influential over the years with numerous bottlers taking inspiration from Samaroli’s elegant and artistic style over the years. One example is the ‘Flowers’ Series, which forever changed the whisky and wider spirits industry until today. By the 2000s our Samaroli bottle releases were in full swing reaching first to Japan, the United States and then the world. Our philosophy the 'Samaroli Way' had been tried, tested and was ready for succession. This marked a new generation in the Samaroli legacy - where the gifts and wisdoms of the past could now transcend into the present through the hands, hearts and mind of Antonio Bleve, our Master Blender - apprenticing for Mr. Silvano since his youth.
