Empires…our Europe. The Ereb born out of the thrust of the Phoenicians and other Middle Eastern peoples towards the west, somewhere between the Urals and the Atlantic. Here there has always been a vocation to build empires. And perhaps, from the Crusades onwards, to conquer the world - or at least what was known of it.

Don’t imagine that this is a simple whisky. Here we have an imperial spirit. Spending visions, resources and energy in order to follow a dream, those who live as dreamers are not always unwise. Perhaps it is dreams who elevate man to his true measure and beyond.

For the Europeans in the 13th century, conquering the Holy Land through a holy journey, the Transit, was a belief. Our will of wishing to reach perfection is just the same. This is our crusade. Even at a cost of slightly unexpected testing, a little like the fourth Crusade, which set off to conquer Jerusalem and then ended up by taking Constantinople…

What a pretty nose: a mountain white, mineral and fruity. It greets us with clout, the persistence of a bubbling still. Rich, piquant, and precisely… elegant, regal, imperial.

To the palate, verbose in the direction of sensations which would enchant a crowd if it were a preacher.  Sweet, opulent: a culinary explosion… Yeasts, sugars, flours, marzipan and candied fruit.
